A multiplayer arcade racing game with a cops vs. racers system and stealth mechanics, set in an open-world cyberpunk city. As a street racer, escape or hide from cops while taking part in non-linear races. As a cop, hunt down racers by using equipment and teamwork.
Chonky Frog Studio is a French team of seven hopping frogs with a shared passion for creating original, exciting, and artistically driven video games.
Our story began at a game development school in Paris, where our three founders met and graduated. After their studies, in 2023, they pitched and worked on a multiplayer game developed in partnership with Ankama Games, as game director, game designer, and game artist.
Driven by their shared passion for pitching, directing, and creating games from the ground up, they went on to found Chonky Frog Studio in 2024.
Our mission is simple: to make entertaining games with fun gameplay, artistic value, and unexpected twists. Thanks to the support of the Pépinière d'entreprises Atrium, who welcomed us into their business incubator in Montreuil, just outside Paris, we were able to lay the groundwork for our first projects and grow into a full-time development team.
In 2025, we were commissioned to develop Ballrun, an online multiplayer marble game with snappy and satisfying physics.
As development on Ballrun approaches completion, we are simultaneously preparing our next in-house project: Gun Gun, a fast-paced twin stick shooter party game set in a fun spaghetti western world.
We’re currently seeking funding and publishing partners for Gun Gun.
